May 4 Jazz Night will feature Essie Lee Carpenter and Bailey Grace Flynn. The program will begin at 7 pm.
Essie Lee Carpenter has been a student of Dr. Ginger Beazley for three years and has performed in the choruses of the Ars Nova productions of Le Nozze di Figaro andPagliacci/Cavalleria Rusticana and appeared in her first leading role as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel in 2017.  She was honored to be selected for the 2016 Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts.  Essie is currently a freshman at Jacksonville State University where she majors in Music Performance.
 
Bailey Grace Flynn is a freshman at Hazel Green High School.  Some of her favorite roles include “Iago” in HCCA’s Aladdin, “Chicken Soup” in Ars Nova’s Really Rosie, “Little Alice” in Ars Nova’s Alice in Wonderland, “Silver Dollar” in Ars Nova’s Ballad of Baby Doe, and ensemble member in IMP’s Les Miserables.  She recently enjoyed performing in Fantasy Playhouse’s School House Rock Live and appeared as the Dew Fairy in Ars Nova’s 2017 production of Hansel and Gretel.  She has been studying dance at Huntsville Ballet Company for eleven years and is also currently studying voice with Dr. Ginger Beazley.
