Crystal Vanrell, senior, and student of Dr. Beazley is a finalist with YoungArts in Miami, Florida. As a finalist, Crystal has placed in the top 2% of the 2010 YoungArts national participant group. Out of nearly 6,000 applications to the YoungArts program, Crystal has been selected as one of up to 143 young artists who will travel to Miami, Florida all-expenses-paid, from Monday, January 11 through Sunday, January 17 to participate in YoungArts Week 2010.
YoungArts Week is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and is not intended to be a competition but rather about meeting, sharing and learning from other incredibly talented and motivated artists from around the country.

Crystal also won first place in the Classical Singer First Round High School Competition 2010 held at the University of Alabama.
